Mr. Shibtanu Biswas, a 21-year-old management student started having problems in September 2010. He was having dimness of vision in his right eye. An MRI scan of brain was advised. A large tumor was found in the center of brain called ventricles. It was a large tumor occupying all the compartments of lateral ventricles of both sides. The tumor was abutting on brain structures which control memory (fornix, septal nucleus). He was operated and total resection of tumor was achieved. Postoperative MRI scan showed no tumor. He has started MBA course.
A 51-year-ol gentleman presented with headache for one month, which increased progressively. For last one week, he was sleepy and was unable to control his urine and stool. MRI brain showed a large tumor in right temporal lobe. He was operated and a complete resection as achieved. Postoperative MRI did not show any residual tumor.
This 25-year-old doctor presented with severe headache and dimness of vision for one month. She also had left-sided weakness. MRI brain showed a large mid-sagittal falcine meningioma. She underwent operation to have complete recovery. Postoperative MRI showed no tumor.
